Barbara Carr

     Barbara Carr is a partner in Jon Landau Management, which represents Bruce Springsteen and Train. She has worked with Springsteen and Landau since 1980. Prior to that, she worked for Atlantic Records and ABC Records in publicity, and with the management firm Champion Entertainment.
   


Charlie Feldman

     As Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, New York, Charlie Feldman directs all writer/publisher relations activities in BMI’s New York office, including the company’s concert music, theater and jazz departments.
   
   Feldman, who joined BMI in 1988 as Senior Director, Writer/Publisher Relations, was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 1990 and to Vice President in 1992. He began his career in publishing in 1974 when he joined Screen Gems-Columbia, Inc. Music Publishing Nashville which later became EMI Music Publishing. He was promoted to General Manager in 1978 and was named Vice President in 1986. Feldman was also the music supervisor and executive soundtrack producer of the motion picture, Tender Mercies. Prior to joining Screen Gems Music, he was a songwriter signed to Muscle Shoals Sound Publishing Company. Feldman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama in 1971.
   
   In addition to his duties at BMI, Feldman serves as a Trustee of the New York Chapter of the Recording Academy (NARAS) and is a chapter Past President. He not only serves as a Vice Chairman of the Entertainment Division of the UJA-Federation and is a board member of the National Academy of Popular Music (NAPM), but is a member of the Country Music Association (CMA), Nashville Songwriter’s Association International (NSAI), the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) and the Academy of Country Music (ACM).
   


Harlan Friedman

     Harlan Friedman is the Music Director at Jarad Broadcasting, which owns and operates WDRE (Party 105.3), WBON (98.5 The Bone) and the Legendary WLIR (107.1 The Box) in New York. Under the title, Harlan also hosts three weekly new music radio shows on each of the stations, "Nuflava" on Party 105.3, "Bonegrown" on the Bone, and "The Tri-State Sound Underground Lounge" on WLIR, which boasts a guest list of artists including Fountains of Wayne, Pete Yorn, Brand New, and Straylight Run, amongst a long list of others. Harlan also hosts, produces and books a new music concert series, titled the "Showcase" series, which is a mix of emerging national and local artists. Artists such as Maroon5, Phantom Planet, Pete Yorn, Sugarcult, American Hi-Fi, Something Corporate, The Used, and Finch have all taken part in the series. In addition, he is a columnist for The Long Island Press which has a weekly circulation of over 100,000 copies.


Danny Goldberg

     Danny Goldberg is Chairman and CEO of Artemis Records (Kittie, Kurupt, Warren Zevon), and President and CEO of Sheridan Square Entertainment, which owns ArtistEnt.com, an original Internet content company whose assets include Todd Rundgren’s Patronet subscription music service. ArtistEnt.com also produces original Internet radio programs by Vin Scelsa, Pete Wolf and Rosanna Arquette.
   
   Through his storied career, Danny has worked hands on more popular musical talent than literally any other recorded music executive in the 1990's. He is also one of the very few who has worked with every major genre of popular music-- rap, country, folk, classical, jazz, pop, rock, R&B and jazz. During 1998, prior to the acquisition of PolyGram by Universal, Danny was Chairman and CEO of the Mercury Records Group, PolyGram’s largest U.S. division. While with Mercury, he worked with such artists as Kiss, Jay-Z, Hanson, Elvis Costello, and Shania Twain. Artists signed under his regime included Hanson, 311, The Cardigans, Cake, Elvis Costello, and Lucinda Williams. Prior to coming to Mercury, Danny was Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Records in 1995, during which time Warner Bros. was the #1 U.S. record label. In 1993-94, he was President of Atlantic Records, also a division of Time-Warner, which likewise attained the number one ranking among U.S. companies during Goldberg’s tenure. While at Atlantic and Warner Bros., Danny worked with such talent as Madonna, Neil Young, REM, and Phil Collins. Among those signed under Danny during this time were such high profile artists as Jewel, Stone Temple Pilots, Brandy, Hootie and the Blowfish and Paula Cole.
   
   Going further back, from 1983-1992 Danny was the principal owner and President of Gold Mountain Entertainment, a personal management firm whose client list included Nirvana, Hole, Sonic Youth, Rickie Lee Jones and the Beastie Boys. Earlier in his career, Danny was the Vice-President of Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song Records. He also supervised the music for numerous movies and TV shows including the movie “Dirty Dancing” and the best selling soundtrack from the TV series “Miami Vice.” Danny began his career as a journalist writing, among others, for Rolling Stone, the Village Voice and Billboard.
   


Michael Goldberg

     Michael Goldberg is Co-Founder and Editor in Chief of Neumu, an online pop culture magazine; and president/CEO of insiderone.net, a consulting and production company serving the online and offline entertainment business. He is a distinguished pioneer in the online music space; Newsweek magazine called him an "Internet visionary." In 1994 Goldberg founded Addicted To Noise (ATN), a highly influential music Web site and the first with original content. At ATN, Goldberg created and oversaw the Addicted To Noise Music News of the World. This well-respected round-the-clock music news service developed a global reach into over 40 million homes. Goldberg's other innovations included the world's first online album review with audio samples, as well as Cinemachine, the movie-review search engine. In 1997, Addicted To Noise merged with SonicNet, and Goldberg was named Senior Vice President and Editorial Director of SonicNet. MTV Networks acquired SonicNet in July 1999 and Goldberg was named Editor in Chief, SonicNet. While Goldberg was at SonicNet, the company won Webby awards for best music site in 1998 and 1999, and also won Yahoo Internet Life! awards for three years running as best music site in 1998, 1999 and 2000. At SonicNet, Goldberg co-created SonicNet's FlashRadio, a service that pioneered the convergence of music and Flash animation. He created MTVi's first download area, D-Rev 2000, which combined digital music news with a multi-genre annotated download section. Also at SonicNet he wrote, produced and directed "rrrebel.com," a futuristic, sci-fi Flash animation serial. Prior to starting Addicted To Noise, Goldberg was an editor and senior writer at Rolling Stone magazine for 10 years. His writing has also appeared in Wired, Esquire, Vibe, Details, Downbeat, the New Musical Express and numerous other publications. The Bay Area native began his professional career — for which he prepared by running a poster business in junior high school, promoting concerts at his high school and publishing local rock magazine Hard Road — as a columnist for director Francis Ford Coppola'sCity of San Francisco magazine in 1975. Goldberg's weekly music column, "The Drama You've Been Craving," appears in StarPolish's "Current Events" area. It also runs on the ARTISTdirect network of music sites and on neumu.net.


Elliot Groffman

     Elliot Groffman is a founding member of Codikow, Carroll, Guido & Groffman, LLP. The firm represents a wide array of artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Jay-Z, Blues Traveler, Sugar Ray, Patti Smith, Sinead O’Connor, Godsmack, David Byrne and Blondie. The firm also represents significant concert properties such as Lilith Fair and The Warped Tour, as well as several independent labels such as Beggars Banquet, Aware, Luaka Bop and Roc-A-Fella Records. Groffman has also become involved in several music related Internet and new media projects involving digital delivery systems such as music libraries and subscription services .


Randy Henner

     Randy Henner is a Senior Vice President at Clear Channel-- the world's leading promoter, producer, and presenter of diversified live entertainment.


Jason Linn

     As Senior Vice President of Music Development for New Line Cinema, Jason Linn seeks out and identifies new musical artists for inclusion in New Line Films and Soundtracks, and explores options to bolster New Line’s presence in the music world. Prior to joining New Line Cinema, Jason was Vice President of both the Alternative Marketing and Video Promotion Departments at The Mercury Records Group in New York, where he was responsible for orchestrating and initiating both mainstream and grassroots marketing plans, as well as producing and promoting music videos. Serving as Executive Producer on several KISS records, Jason also worked closely with such talent as Shania Twain, Hanson, 98 Degrees, Brian McKnight, 311, Cake and The Cardigans. Prior to his time at The Mercury Records Group, Jason was the Head of the College Department at Atlantic Records Group where he oversaw all the marketing and promotion for emerging artists. Some of the musicians he worked closely with there were Jewel, Tori Amos, Stone Temple Pilots, and Sugar Ray. Linn also oversaw the marketing for such acclaimed soundtracks as The Crow and Batman.


Jonny Podell

     As a Partner at Evolution Talent Agency, Jonny Podell works with an extremely diverse roster of talent that includes Britney Spears, N’Sync, the Allman Brothers Band, Meatloaf, Alice Cooper, Cyndi Lauper, Backstreet Boys, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, the Jungle Brothers, Lou Bega, the Crystal Method, magician David Blaine, and many others. Before Evolution Talent, Jonny ran the music department at both International Creative Management, Inc. (ICM) and the William Morris Agency. In the 1970’s, Jonny single-handedly changed the way rock shows were booked, by creating the first “boutique agency.” It was through this accomplishment that Jonny helped launch the careers of the Allman Brothers and Alice Cooper, and booked record-breaking tours with the likes of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. In a 1997 article, New York Magazine named Jonny the “Kingpin” of music industry agents, saying, “If you’re playing clubs and dreaming of stadiums, he’s the man to see.”


Andrew Rasiej

     Andrew Rasiej is the Founder, President & CEO of the Digital Club Network (DCN), the Internet's largest live music channel. DCN streams concerts of established and emerging artists live in real time from premiere venues around the world and makes archive recordings of these performances available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. DCN is the largest webcaster of live events in the world presenting over 100 new concerts weekly. Prior to founding DCN, Andrew was the founder of New York’s Irving Plaza and built it into one of New York City's top concert halls before selling it to SFX/Delsener-Slater in 1998. Since opening its doors in 1992, Irving Plaza has played host to top performers including Eric Clapton, Tom Jones, Melissa Ethridge, Blues Traveler, Live, Sheryl Crow, Dave Matthews Band and Johnny Cash. For the past five years, Mr. Rasiej has been the co-executive producer of the Digital Club Festival, the world’s largest online music event. Mr. Rasiej is also the founder of MOUSE (Making Opportunities for Upgrading Schools and Education), a non-profit organization providing volunteer manpower and technical support to New York City public schools. Since its inception in 1997, MOUSE has enlisted over 1000 new media and technology professionals who maintain student computer networks in 21 schools throughout the City. Mr. Rasiej is a 1999 David Rockefeller Fellow and holds a B.A. from Cooper Union College for the Advancement of Science and Art.


Bruce Warren

     Bruce Warren is the Program Director at WXPN in Philadelphia and is the Executive Producer of the nationally syndicated World Cafe, heard on 160 public stations across the country. XPN is a leader in public "Triple-A" programming and has received Station of the Year awards for seven consecutive years in a row. Prior to joining XPN in 1989, Bruce was a freelance music writer whose contributions included Spin, Option, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Bruce has also been an A&R scout for Warner Brothers. His early radio support of artists like Ben Folds, John Ondrasik/Five for Fighting, and hundreds of other artists has helped establish careers and allowed artists to quit their day jobs.
