StarPolish Radio
Launched
in the summer of 2002, StarPolish Radio builds upon the StarPolish
commitment to "help artists help themselves" by bringing
the music to the people! In cooperation with our webcasting partner,
Live365,
StarPolish Radio runs 24/7 to bring you the best independent music
on the 'net. The station is hosted by the StarPolish staff who constantly scours the
StarPolish artist community to bring you the best of the best.
True music fans - plug in now! Fire up StarPolish Radio and get
a taste of what we're talking about. You'll find a goldmine of
developing bands, and a viable alternative to the repetitive
nature of terrestrial radio. We hope the bands you discover on StarPolish
Radio today might be the bands you hear making waves in the industry
soon. Every single band on StarPolish Radio has a web page available
within the StarPolish
Artist Community. Go to an artist page for more information
on a band, and sign up for the band's mailing list so you can
support! Several artists are selling CDs through the StarPolish
store, and you can click the "buy" link immediately
if you hear something you like. This is a beautiful thing!
StarPolish Radio is a free form broadcast, meaning anything
goes. Our staff mixes up the best rock, pop, soul, hip hop,
blues, jazz, reggae, funk and everything else! The station streams
only at T1/DSL/Cable modem quality, for the best possible listening
experience with no compromise for bandwidth.
How
To Be Featured As An Artist

For artists who would like to be involved, here's
how: start by joining the StarPolish
Artist Community - the most robust independent music community
on the 'net. Build your page by using the Artist Management Tools.
Make sure you take advantage of what StarPolish offers, and enter
your full profile including bio information and band member info.
Fill in the blanks! Then, click "Music Sample" and upload
the three music samples you are provided by our system. For StarPolish
Radio consideration, the samples must be at least a 128kbps .mp3
file. Visit the StarPolish
digital audio advice article to find out more info on how
to get your music into this format. Then, make sure you click the check box (see screen shot below)
that allows us permission to broadcast your music on StarPolish
Radio. Finally, get noticed by the StarPolish Program
Directors by emailing spradio@starpolish.com
and let them know you exist and why they should play your
song. Every request will be considered. One request is enough
- hammering us with requests is highly discouraged. Sending in physical press kits and CDs is also discouraged. Save a buck or two - post your music online!

Although it's not a requirement of StarPolish Radio, it also
may be in your best interest to sell CDs through the StarPolish
CD Store so listeners can take advantage of the buy functions
